Alex is a highly qualified and experienced exercise therapist, personal trainer, and researcher with a passion for human movement and the therapeutic benefits of exercise.
Meet Alex, An Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Alex began unofficially teaching their friends how to use recreational indoor and outdoor exercise equipment in 2005. By 2008, he had obtained a Diploma in Fitness and officially started his journey in exercise and human movement, adopting a therapeutic approach within their personal training practice.
Alex pursued further studies, completing a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2010 and worked primarily with desk-based office workers to manage ongoing pain symptoms through exercise for the next six years. In 2016, he enrolled at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology while expanding their practice to the broader community in Sydney.
Alex's Long Term Goals
"My goal over the next decade is to expand my practice and reach a wider community, helping everyone to simply get moving and feel better physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
I intend to create an environment that simplifies complex movement patterns, making exercising easier and bringing the vast benefits of exercise to everyone."
Supporting Clients of All Ages
During Alex's academic and practicing journey, he was approached by a high-level practitioner in Karate (Goju Ryu) and has since added multiple martial arts (Karate, Boxing, Judo, +) to his movement library, expanding his love for movement.
As of 2022, his exercise therapy practice supports clients of all ages improving strength, daily function, and managing ongoing muscle and joint symptoms, delivering results. Alex is currently in the process of completing a Master of Research in Osteoarthritis at UNSW or USYD to better understand the use of exercise and education in preventing and managing osteoarthritis.
